OUR WORK ENGAGES EVERY ONE OF YOUR SENSES - AND WILL HAVE YOU THINKING ABOUT OUR WORK LONG AFTER IT ENDS.

HELLO…A LITTLE ABOUT ME:

Across my career, I’ve produced and overseen hundreds of hours of documentaries and prime-time television for PARAMOUNT+, MTV, NBC, FOX, SHOWTIME, OWN, A&E, AMC, CMT, and LIFETIME, building formats and teams that scale across platforms.

My independent feature documentary DECONSTRUCTING KAREN, a radically honest examination of white women’s complicity in systemic racism, premiered at HOT DOCS International Film Festival and had its U.S. premiere at Geena Davis’ Bentonville Film Festival, continuing to spark national conversation.

My work also spans culture-defining series like FOX’s THE SIMPLE LIFE—where I helped shape the rhythm and format of a generation of unscripted television—as well as documentaries exploring girlhood and womanhood, including HUNGRY (Best Feature Documentary, Women’s Image Network Awards), MEAN GIRLS MIND GAMES, and GIRLS ON THE WALL.

I find The Story—and then build the creative teams to tell it.

My name is Patty Ivins and I’m the founder of PB&J TV + Docs. I’m an Emmy Award–winning producer, director, and writer creating premium nonfiction documentaries and social content that sits at the intersection of culture, sports, and women’s lived experience. My work is grounded in trust, access, and journalistic rigor—and designed to move audiences.

Most recently, I Executive Produced THE RISE for Hello Sunshine, a 5-film documentary series chronicling the meteoric rise of women’s professional sports —conceiving the creative vision for each film, building out the creative teams, and leading pre-production through editorial to deliver premium films.

I have extensive experience partnering with brands (Ozempic, NovoNordisk, CoverGirl, Allure), leagues (WNBA, PWHL, X Games, NASCAR, Unrivaled), and networks to create documentaries that balance editorial integrity with brand alignment and measurable cultural impact. That includes PBS’s GROUNDBREAKERS with human rights icon Billie Jean King, DARKNESS TO LIGHT WITH ALY RAISMAN for Lifetime, and projects centered on survivor-led storytelling, athlete voices, and social change.
